I had to trim the friends list a bit mostly due to a huge amount of content..to the point where I couldn't read anything. No offense to anyone.

I am going to be at work for what feels like forever. I started a growth curve this morning and after 5 hours the bugs aren't even up to an OD600 of 0.01. Considering that normal Saccharomyces can get up to an OD600 of 5 or 6 in this media, I am here for at least 48 hours. This is going to royally suck. Oh well...not like I had anything better to do, except maybe sleep.

if anyone has pictures from my wedding in digital format, could you please send them my way? I didn't get a single picture from the whole day and I'd really like to see them.
Thanks!

Yes I am bored [21 Nov 2005|12:44am]

My Roman Name is Justinia.
Take The Roman Name Generator today!
Created with Rum and Monkey's Name Generator Generator.

Sadly I put in both my current name and my soon to be married name and it came out the same....but I think its based off of the first name anyway.

Anyone know a place to find relatively inexpensive wedding invitations that don't look overly cheap?

Relay For Life [09 Feb 2005|02:15pm]
[ mood | optimistic ]

Hi Everyone,
I realize most of us are strapped for money, so I will only post this once. Most of our lives have been touched in some way by someone who has had their lives changed by cancer. I myself have lost 2 people who were very close to me. In memory of those who have passed and in honor of those who have survived I Relay. My chapter of Alpha Phi Omega has put together a team for the UW Madison Indoor Relay for Life to be held in late April. Any donation, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated.

Cat question [09 Jan 2005|06:36pm]
Anyone have one of those automatic circulating water things for cats? Ours have stopped drinking out of their water dispenser and only try to drink out of the faucet (they managed to flood the bathroom on Friday) so I am wondering if they would use one of those circulating ones. If you have one #1 does the cat like it and #2 does it run out of water quickly?

Because I am really bored I took this from Purplelover13 [10 Dec 2004|10:21am]

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around and look for the "coolest" book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.

Some (lambda or P2) have complementary single stranded ends (sticky ends) which reanneal and ligate, others (P22 and P1) have terminally redundant endss allowing circulatization by reciprocal recombination between the homologous ends, and yet others (Phi 29) have DNA maintained as a circle by a protein covalently linked to both 5' ends.

I don't know whether to be highly amused or disturbed by a state where voting consists of filling in the line connecting the head and tail of an arrow pointing to the person/people you are voting for....voting machines were much more fun when we got to play with them in high school
